AMFI's full statistical reporting, including average AUM by AMC and category-wise industry data.
Why a Live Industry Snapshot Is Useful
The Indian mutual fund industry is large and constantly changing: new schemes launch, others merge or wind down, and AMCs enter or consolidate. A live count grounds that scale in an actual, current number, rather than an outdated headline statistic that goes stale the moment it's published in an article.
How These Numbers Are Computed
This page reads AMFI's own daily NAV feed, the same source powering the Latest NAV and fund-selection tools elsewhere on this site, and counts the number of live scheme rows, the distinct fund houses among them, and the distinct SEBI-defined categories those schemes fall into. Because it's computed directly from the feed rather than a separately maintained database, the figures reflect what's genuinely reporting NAV to AMFI today.
What This Snapshot Doesn't Cover
Scheme, AMC, and category counts say nothing about assets under management, money flowing in or out of the industry, or which categories are growing versus shrinking in size. For that full statistical picture (AUM by AMC, category-wise industry data, monthly and quarterly flow reports) AMFI's own research portal, linked below, is the authoritative source, and it's compiled on a different cadence than the daily NAV feed this page reads.

AMFI's own daily NAV feed, which powers this page, doesn't include AUM figures. AMFI's separate research portal publishes average AUM by AMC and category on a monthly/quarterly basis, and we link to it below for that specific data.
As current as AMFI's own feed, since this page computes the counts directly from it rather than from a cached snapshot. AMFI republishes once a day, so the underlying data itself is at most a day old.
That level of statistical reporting comes from AMFI's research portal, linked below, not from the daily NAV feed this page reads. AMFI publishes it on a monthly and quarterly basis.
